UBCM Executive Nominations – 2026-2027 Term
A Call for Nominations has been issued to local elected officials wishing to serve on the 2026-2027 UBCM Executive. The deadline for all nominations is July 31, 2026 at 4:00 pm.

- Director at Large (5 positions)
- Small Community Representative

Application Process
- Review the Call for Nominations materials and requirements
- Complete the Nominations and Consent Form and ensure all required signatures are included.
- Prepare supporting documents:
- A biography (300 words max)
- A high resolution profile picture
- A short 2-minute video (optional) - Submit your Online Application Form and supporting documents through the Online Portal. This online form must be completed for all applications. When the form is submitted, the applicant will receive an email confirmation including the file number that has been assigned to the application.
APPLY NOW (link to Online Application Form) - Following the advance nominations process, the Committee issues a report compiling all nominations received by the nominations deadline of July 31, 2026 at 4:00pm.
- Candidates who do not meet the advance nominations deadline, will still have an opportunity to run ‘off the floor’ during Convention. Candidates are asked to review the final Convention program to confirm the designated time to run ‘off the floor’. Elections are held at the Annual Convention.
Nominating Committee
The Nominating Committee oversees nominations for the UBCM Executive, issues the Call for Nomination and reviews the qualifications of each candidate. Per UBCM Bylaws, the committee consists of a Past President (if any) and appointed representatives from each of the five Area Associations. Members of the 2026 Nominating Committee are:

- Councillor Louise Wallace-Richmond, SIGLA representative
- Councillor Kevin McIsaac, AKBLG representative
- Councillor Paul Albrecht, LMLGA representative
- Director Vanessa Craig, AVICC representative
