Hotel Accommodations

UBCM secured a hotel block with the following hotels: Fairmont Waterfront, Pan Pacific Vancouver, St. Regis Hotel, and Fairmont Pacific Rim. The block opened on October 11, 2022. All of the Convention Hotel room blocks are now full. UBCM will not be contracting additional hotel rooms at this time.

All reservations must be guaranteed with a major credit card at the time of booking and require a non-refundable deposit of one night's room and tax. Reservations are the sole responsibility of the local government. All reservations are made over the phone only (not online).

Cancellation Policy for all UBCM Hotels:

• All reservations must be guaranteed with a non-refundable deposit of one night’s room and tax at the time of booking.
• The remainder of the reservation will be charged, non-refundable, 30 days prior to check-in. 
• Please be aware of any reservation policies, cancellation dates, fees and deposits for each hotel property.

Please confirm all cancellation and change policies with the hotel when you make your reservation.

Fairmont Waterfront - SOLD OUT

• Each third and fourth person sharing a room will be charged an additional $50.00 CAD per person / per night. There will be no charge for children up to 18 years who share with their parents. Maximum occupancy is 4 people per room.
• Reservations must be made by Friday, August 25, 2023 to qualify for the group rate.
• Check-in time is 3:00 pm and check-out time is 12:00 pm.
• Group rates will be honoured three (3) days pre and three (3) days post-event dates based on availability.

St. Regis Hotel - SOLD OUT

• Each third person sharing a room will be charged an additional $30.00 CAD per person / per night. There will be no charge for children up to 12 years who share with their parents. 
• Reservations must be made by August 13, 2023 to qualify for the group rate.
• Check-in time is 3:00 pm and check-out time is 12:00 pm.

Reservations are made over the phone only. Please identify your reservation by confirming that you are booking in the UBCM hotel block to ensure the UBCM block rate.

• Each third and fourth person sharing a room will be charged an additional $50.00 CAD per person / per night. There will be no charge for children up to 18 years who share with their parents. Maximum occupancy is 4 people per room.
• Reservations must be made by Tuesday, July 18, 2023 to qualify for the group rate.
• Check-in time is 4:00 pm and check-out time is 12:00 pm.
• Group rates will be honoured three (3) days pre and three (3) days post-event dates based on availability.

Fraud Alert 

It has come to our attention that agencies may be soliciting sponsors and attendees of the Union of BC Municipalities (UBCM) Annual Convention to book hotel rooms through their organization. Please beware that these organizations are not operating on our behalf and could be engaged in fraudulent activities. 

UBCM has not made any agreements with any agencies that offer reservation assistance, nor have we provided any information to anyone for this purpose. If you are contacted, please do not give out your personal information. The hotels listed above are working with UBCM for the 2023 Annual Convention and it is advisable to book through the hotels directly. We assure you that UBCM has NOT provided your contact details to any travel organizations. If you have any doubts about the legitimacy of a caller in relation to the UBCM Convention, please do not hesitate to contact us.
