Hotel Accommodations

The 2022 UBCM Convention will be held in Whistler, BC the week of September 12^th – 16^th. UBCM has secured hotel blocks with the following hotels: The Hilton Whistler, The Westin Whistler, The Aava Whistler, The Crystal Lodge, The Delta Whistler Village Suites, and the Fairmont Whistler.

The UBCM room blocks are now Sold Out.  Rooms will not be added at the Convention rate.  If you were not able to secure rooms in the block, you will need to book alternative accommodations at regular rates.

All reservations must be guaranteed with a major credit card at the time of booking and require a non-refundable deposit of one night's room and tax. Reservations are the sole responsibility of the local government. Please be aware of any reservation policies, cancellation dates, fees and deposits for each hotel property.

Safety is a top priority for UBCM and we will follow all of the public health orders that are in place at the time of the 2022 Convention.  The UBCM Executive will also be considering additional guidelines and polices regarding vaccine requirements to ensure the health and safety of our delegates at the Convention including the Public Health Orders in place.

Please read the details below carefully for each hotel in the UBCM room block. 

Cancellation Policy for all UBCM Hotels:

• All reservations must be guaranteed with a non-refundable deposit of one night’s room and tax at the time of booking.
• The remainder of the reservation will be charged, non-refundable, 30 days prior to check in. 

Please confirm all cancellation and change policies with the hotel when you make your reservation.

Fairmont Chateau Whistler - UBCM ROOM BLOCK SOLD OUT

• These rates are based on double occupancy.  A $30.00 CAD per person / per night charge is applicable for each additional adult. 
• Reservations must be made by August 12, 2022 to qualify for the group rate.
• Name changes for reservations will be permitted up to 48 hours prior to arrival.

Please note that due to staffing shortages for the Fairmont Whistler, as an exception for the 2022 Convention, we will be using an online booking link.  Call in reservations will not be accepted.

Westin Whistler Resort - UBCM ROOM BLOCK SOLD OUT

• These rates are based on double occupancy.  A $30.00 CAD per person / per night charge is applicable for each additional adult over the age of 18.
• Reservations must be made by Wednesday, August 10, 2022 to qualify for the group rate.
• Name changes for reservations will be permitted up to five (5) days prior to arrival only.

Fraud Alert 

It has come to our attention that agencies may be soliciting sponsors and attendees of the Union of BC Municipalities’ (UBCM) Annual Convention to book hotel rooms through their organization. Please beware that these organizations are not operating on our behalf and could be engaged in fraudulent activities. 

UBCM has not made any agreements with any agencies that offer reservation assistance, nor have we provided any information to anyone for this purpose. If you are contacted, please do not give out your personal information. The hotels listed above are working with UBCM for the 2022 Annual Convention and it is advisable to book through the hotels directly. We assure you that UBCM has NOT provided your contact details to any travel organizations. If you have any doubts about the legitimacy of a caller in relation to the UBCM Convention, please do not hesitate to contact us.
