Hotel Accommodations

The 2026 UBCM Convention will take place September 14 – 18 in Vancouver, BC.

The 2026 Convention hotel blocks are now sold out. UBCM will not be adding additional rooms to the block.  We recommend making alternative hotel arrangements if you did not get reservations in these hotels.

Hotel Waitlist

Please note, this does not guarantee that you will receive rooms in one of the official UBCM room blocks.  We will do our best to accommodate delegates on the waitlist as rooms come available.  Very often, these rooms will come from other local governments who have rooms they no longer require closer to the Convention (usually around July - August 2026). 

We recommend that you make alternative reservations at another Vancouver hotel for the 2026 Convention.  Most hotels not in a room-block will allow you to cancel reservations up to 48 - 72 hours prior to check in (please double check with each property).  In that case, if there are rooms that come available in the UBCM room block, you can cancel your back-up reservations.

If rooms come available, UBCM will connect groups who have extra rooms to people on our waitlist in the order they are received.  It will be the responsibility of the two parties to transfer the rooms from one group to the other.  If you are a group who has extra hotel rooms you would like to pass on to the waitlist please contact Kelsey at kmackaysmith@ubcm.ca.  

2026 Hotel Block Information

UBCM has secured a hotel block with the following hotels: Fairmont Waterfront, Pan Pacific Vancouver, St. Regis Hotel, Fairmont Pacific Rim, Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, and the Pinnacle Hotel Harbourfront. The hotel blocks will open on Wednesday, November 12th at 9:00 AM.

All reservations must be guaranteed with a major credit card at the time of booking and require a non-refundable deposit of one night's room and tax. Reservations are the sole responsibility of the local government. All reservations are made over the phone only (not online), except for the Fairmont hotels, and the Pinnacle Harbourfront.  For the three Fairmont Hotels as well as the Pinnacle Harbourfront Hotel reservations can be made over the phone or online using the links provided.  Please note, reservations made before the block opening date through a third-party cannot be changed to the UBCM block / rate afterwards.

Cancellation Policy for all UBCM Hotels:

• All reservations must be guaranteed with a non-refundable deposit of one night’s room and tax at the time of booking.
• The remainder of the reservation will be charged, non-refundable, 30 days prior to check-in. 
• Please be aware of any reservation policies, cancellation dates, fees and deposits for each hotel property.

Please confirm all cancellation and change policies with the hotel when you make your reservation.

Pinnacle Hotel Harbourfront - SOLD OUT

• The price listed is for double occupancy, a triple is +$30 and a quad is +$60. Maximum occupancy is 4 people per room.  No charge for children under the age of 18 years who share the room with their parents.
• Reservations must be made by Thursday, August 13, 2026 to qualify for the group rate.
• Check-in time is 3:00 pm and check-out time is 12:00 pm.
• Group rates will be honoured three (3) days pre and three (3) days post-event dates based on availability.

Please note, if you would like to book room nights for pre and post Convention dates, we recommend calling the hotel instead of using the online link.  If you use the online link, and additional nights are not available, book your Convention dates, and then call the hotel to add additional nights on.  These dates may not be guaranteed, but will be based on availability at the time you call.

Fairmont Hotel Vancouver - SOLD OUT

• Please note: Fairmont hotels are unable to offer the group rate outside of the Convention dates.  Reservations will only be available from Sunday, September 13th to the night of Thursday, September 17th (checking out on Friday, September 18th).  Dates outside of these will be booked at the hotel's regular rate.  If you need additional nights, UBCM suggests booking one of the other hotels.
• Each third and fourth person sharing a room will be charged an additional $50 CAD per person / per night ($70 / night for Fairmont Gold). There will be no charge for children up to 18 years who share with their parents. Maximum occupancy is 4 people per room.
• Reservations must be made by August 14, 2026 to qualify for the group rate.

• Reservations must be made by August 11, 2026 to qualify for the group rate.

• Reservations must be made by Friday, August 14, 2026 to qualify for the group rate.
• Check-in time is 4:00 pm and check-out time is 12:00 pm.
• Group rates will be honoured three (3) days pre and three (3) days post-event dates based on availability.

Fraud Alert 

It has come to our attention that agencies may be soliciting sponsors and attendees of the Union of BC Municipalities (UBCM) Annual Convention to book hotel rooms through their organization. Please beware that these organizations are not operating on our behalf and could be engaged in fraudulent activities. 

UBCM has not made any agreements with any agencies that offer reservation assistance, nor have we provided any information to anyone for this purpose. If you are contacted, please do not give out your personal information. The hotels listed above are working with UBCM for the 2026 Annual Convention and it is advisable to book through the hotels directly. We assure you that UBCM has NOT provided your contact details to any travel organizations. If you have any doubts about the legitimacy of a caller in relation to the UBCM Convention, please do not hesitate to contact us.
