The Build Communities Strong Fund–Community Stream is the new name for the Canada Community-Building Fund and continues to be administered by UBCM in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of the 2024-2034 Administrative Agreement (Agreement).
As announced in the Federal Budget 2025, the Build Communities Strong Fund will deliver funding through three distinct streams: the Provincial and Territorial Stream; the Direct Delivery Stream; and this Community Stream. The name change came into effect in June 2026.
