2019 Accommodations

The 2019 UBCM Convention will be held September 23-27 in Vancouver, BC. UBCM has secured a hotel block with the following hotels: St. Regis Hotel, Fairmont Pacific Rim, Fairmont Waterfront, and Pan Pacific Vancouver.

The block will open on Monday, October 15, 2018 at 9:00 am and reservation information will be posted at that time. All reservations must be guaranteed with a major credit card at the time of booking and require a non-refundable deposit of one night's room and tax. Reservations are the sole responsibility of the local government.

Important:

All reservations are made over the phone only (no online)
Hotel phone numbers for reservations will be updated on October 15 before 9:00 am.
Please be aware of any reservation policies, cancellation dates, fees and deposits for each hotel property.

Standard Room: $219/night + taxes and fees (Rate includes breakfast and WIFI)
- Each third person sharing a room will be charged an additional $30.00 CAD per person / per night. There will be no charge for children up to 12 years who share with their parents.
- Reservations must be made by Friday, August 23, 2019 to qualify for the group rate.
- Check-in time is 3:00 pm and Check-out time is 12:00 pm.
Please identify your reservation by confirming that you are booking in the UBCM hotel block to ensure the UBCM block rate.
Cancellation Policy:
- A non-refundable deposit equivalent to the first night’s room and tax will be charged at time of booking to confirm all reservations.
- The remainder of the reservation will be charged, non-refundable, 7 days prior to check in.

Partial Harbour View Guestroom: $339/night + taxes and fees
- Each third and fourth person sharing a room will be charged an additional $30.00 CAD per person / per night. There will be no charge for children up to 18 years who share with their parents. Maximum occupancy is 4 people per room.
- Reservations must be made by Friday, August 16, 2019 to qualify for the group rate.
- Check-in time is 3:00 pm and Check-out time is 12:00 pm.

- Check-in time is 4:00 pm and Check-out time is 12:00 pm.

Cancellation Policy:
- A non-refundable deposit equivalent to the first night’s room and tax will be charged at time of booking to confirm all reservations.
- The remainder of the reservation will be charged, non-refundable, 30 days prior to check in. Name changes are permitted on reservations until 7 days prior to check in.

Fraud Alert

It has come to our attention that agencies may be soliciting sponsors and attendees of the Union of BC Municipalities’ (UBCM) Annual Convention to book hotel rooms through their organization. Please beware that these organizations are not operating on our behalf and could be engaged in fraudulent activities.

UBCM has not made any agreements with any agencies that offer reservation assistance, nor have we provided any information to anyone for this purpose. If you are contacted, please do not give out your personal information. The hotels listed above are working with UBCM for the 2019 Annual Convention and it is advisable to book through the hotels directly. We assure you that UBCM has NOT provided your contact details to any travel organizations. If you have any doubts about the legitimacy of a caller in relation to the UBCM Convention, please do not hesitate to contact us.
