To ensure the health and safety of all participants of convention, UBCM is committed to following the Province of BC Public Health Officer (PHO) guidelines and adhering to the policies and procedures of the various venues.  Delegates that attend the convention in-person agree to comply with applicable laws, policies and procedures in place during convention and understand that UBCM reserves the right to make changes as required leading up to and during the event based on these policies, procedures and guidelines issued by the PHO and/or the venues.

The UBCM hotel blocks are now fully sold out.  UBCM will not be adding additional rooms or hotels to the block.  We recommend booking rooms at alternative hotels in the area.  The room blocks typically open in October of each year for the next Convention, and sell out very quickly.  We recommend signing up for our Compass newsletter (in the footer of each page) to keep up to date on these announcements.

Unfortunately, we simply do not have the space at the Whistler Conference Centre to accommodate a full Tradeshow.  UBCM hosts a Tradeshow every other year, when we are in Vancouver.  The next Tradeshow will take place in 2023.

Yes, there are sponsorship opportunities for the 2022 Convention.  Returning sponsors will be contacted in early 2022 to secure their sponsorships.  If you would like to learn more about sponsorships for the Convention please contact Kelsey Mackay-Smith at kmackaysmith@ubcm.ca

It has come to our attention that agencies are circulating a fraudulent letter to past participants of the UBCM Trade Show to provide company data about their organization. Please be aware that these organizations are not operating on our behalf and could be engaged in fraudulent activities. If you have any doubts about the legitimacy of any contact in relation to the UBCM Convention and Trade Show, please do not hesitate to contact us.   There is no Tradeshow in 2022.

UBCM follows a session proposal process to select the clinic and workshop topics for the Convention.  The submission process will be open from April 20th to June 3rd, 2022.  To review the full outline on how to submit a proposal please visit the page here. 

Yes!  There will be childminding services available Monday through Friday for UBCM members.  It is offered to members at $30 per day / per child and will be run out of the Hilton Hotel by a fully licensed childminding care provider.  The registration package for parents will be available when registration opens on July 4th.  If you have further questions regarding the childminding service please contact Karen Slessor at tradeshow@ubcm.ca

Important Update: Due to the lack of enrollment by the registration deadline, the 2022 Child Minding Program has been cancelled for this year. UBCM will continue to offer child minding services at future conventions. A new Child Minding Program will be announced for the 2023 UBCM Convention in Vancouver.
