Local government-Indigenous relations survey

Publishing Date

UBCM is launching a new survey on Indigenous Relations intended for local government staff and elected officials. This survey will be used to inform advocacy and update existing reconciliation and relationship building resources for members.

This survey addresses wide ranging topics related to Indigenous relations including servicing agreements, approaches to relationship building and reconciliation, treaty and non-treaty agreements, UBCM resources, and the B.C. Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (DRIPA).

Members are encouraged to complete this survey with as much detail as possible to help inform UBCM’s engagement with the Province as it moves forward with the implementation of DRIPA. Please direct any questions you have regarding the survey to Josh van Loon, Senior Policy Analyst, UBCM.
