WHEREAS the Municipal Insurance Association MIA no longer maintains the liability insurance coverage needed for members; AND WHEREAS members must now seek outside liability coverage in such areas as marine facilities and community partnership programs: THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Union of BC Municipalities request that MIA conduct a full review of its services to ensure it is meeting the needs of the membership.
