As part of its ongoing efforts to monitor the financial impacts of the pandemic on local government operations and services, UBCM is conducting a survey on local government staffing decisions.
The survey requests information on layoffs to date, re-assignment of existing staff to other roles, and potential future job losses. Any data collected from respondents will be compiled in aggregate form without attribution. The information gathered will inform UBCM’s provincial and federal advocacy around ensuring that local governments have the necessary resources to sustain their communities.
