The Communications Protocol in the Agreement requires local governments provide 21 days notice prior to undertaking any communications seeking media attention. Local governments considering the distribution of a news release or planning a milestone event are asked to contact Paul Taylor, Director of Communications by e-mail or by phone at 250-356-2938.

Federal Guidelines for Temporary Project Signage

The Canada Community-Building Fund requires local governments to consider the installation of signage during the construction period for funded projects. If you have any questions with regard to signage, please contact Infrastructure Canada.

Placing signs at construction sites is a long-standing practice to communicate key project details to the public. Through project signs, Canadians can easily recognize where infrastructure investments are being made in their communities.
