WHEREAS a Loan Forgiveness program is in place for nurses, physicians, midwives and pharmacists who serve three years in under-serviced communities; AND WHEREAS a longer period of service by health care professionals would provide more certainty and stability to under-serviced communities: THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the provincial government be requested to amend the Loan Forgiveness program to require five years of service in an under-serviced community.
