WHEREAS the Invasive Plant Council has developed principles and action plans which have been endorsed by the federal and provincial governments; AND WHEREAS the Invasive Plant Council has been registered as a non-profit society in order to continue its important work: THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Union of BC Municipalities lobby all local governments to actively support the Invasive Plant Council by being active participants as well as developing and implementing invasive plant control programs for their respective jurisdictions.
