The 2026 Electoral Area Directors’ Forum will be held March 10-11 (Tuesday afternoon to Wednesday morning) at the Radisson Vancouver Airport Hotel in Richmond, BC.
The EAD Forum provides an opportunity to explore challenges common to electoral areas and identify potential solutions. The conference is open to electoral area directors and their alternates, regional district chairs and regional district staff.
Schedule
This year’s Forum has been moved from winter to early spring to improve travel conditions for those attending. The Local Government Leadership Academy Forum is scheduled immediately after, for March 11-13.
Registration
Registration is now open. The $250 registration fee includes lunch and a reception on March 10, and breakfast on March 11.

The group rooms are $229/night plus taxes and fees. All reservations will be guaranteed with a non-refundable deposit of the first night’s room and tax at the time of booking. If making multiple guest reservation requests, the final rooming list is required at latest by 14 days prior to arrival. Topics
Delegates are invited to suggest topics for discussion at the Forum. Please submit ideas by December 19. Director Jerrilyn Kirk, Electoral Area Representative on the UBCM Executive, will work with staff to build the agenda around matters of current concern.
