The Community Excellence Awards recognize local governments and UBCM member First Nations projects or programs that have gone above and beyond in meeting the purposes of local government in BC. The awards are intended to showcase outstanding initiatives and share them with other members to implement in their own communities.
The awards are open to all UBCM member local governments and First Nations. There are four categories awarded, plus the Presidents' Committee Choice. This award recognizes an outstanding, unique and/or special project chosen from all the submissions received.
The Community Excellence Awards Ceremony takes place during the annual UBCM Convention.

Applications are required to be submitted in two steps prior to the application deadline:

The UBCM Awards Online Application Tool must be completed for all awards applications. When the form is submitted, the applicant will receive an email confirmation including the file number that has been assigned to the application and a copy of the Application Worksheet that must be completed as part of Step 2APPLY NOW (link to UBCM Awards Online Application Tool)Step 2 | Application Worksheet
A copy of this worksheet will be sent to the email given in the UBCM Awards Online Application Tool. This form must be completed and submitted by email to UBCM with all other required attachments. Send to awards@ubcm.ca.
