The Electoral Area Directors' Forum focuses on issues of concern to electoral area directors and provides an opportunity to discuss common problems and share potential solutions to the problems identified. The conference is open to regional district chairs, electoral area directors, and regional district staff.
The Electoral Area Representative on the UBCM Executive works with staff to build the agenda around matters of current concern to those representing electoral areas. In addition, electoral area directors submit their own ideas or examples of best practices for discussion at the forum.
Scheduled annually in January or February, the Electoral Area Directors' Forum takes place immediately before the Local Government Leadership Academy Forum, to help reduce costs and provide an opportunity for delegates to attend both learning events.

The EAD Forum was held virtually on February 2 (afternoon) and February 3 (morning), 2021.

2020 Post-Convention Forum
Due to the pandemic, electoral area directors, alternates, RD chairs and RD staff were unable to meet in person at the 2020 UBCM Convention. However, a post-Convention Forum was held virtually on October 5, 2020.
Materials shared at the meeting include:
