SFU Renewable Cities, in collaboration with BC Housing and VanCity Community Foundation, is hosting an in-person workshop on Tuesday, May 7 in Vancouver to share practical information about redeveloping government- and non-profit-owned land to include housing.

The event will assist landowners as they consider how they might make use of their land, learn about opportunities for government funding and connect with other landowners looking to build housing on under-used land.

This workshop is intended for staff and/or board members who have a decision-making role in redeveloping your organization’s land. The workshop will include experience sharing by non-profits that have recently redeveloped their land with housing. It will also include housing development groups that have partnered with organizations that do not typically develop housing.

If your organization is interested in participating in the workshop, fill out this expression of interest form. Organizers will review all expressions of interest and respond within five business days. A formal invitation with an agenda and details will follow in April.

The workshop will be held on Tuesday, May 7 from 10 AM – 3 PM at the Morris J. Wosk Centre for Dialogue (580 W Hastings Street, Vancouver, B.C)
