The webinar with Ministry of Forests staff to update UBCM members on proposed legislative changes to the Heritage Conservation Act (HCA) has been rescheduled to Thursday, April 2, 9:00 – 10:30 am.
Ministry of Forests initially planned to publish a technical policy paper on the HCA this week; however, they advise that it will now be released on Thursday, March 26. The webinar has been rescheduled to ensure that the UBCM membership has the opportunity to review the technical policy paper in advance of the webinar.
UBCM member local governments and First Nations are invited to a webinar where Ministry of Forests staff will give an update on how feedback from local governments has been incorporated in some of the proposed policy changes for the Heritage Conservation Act. The session will invite questions and dialogue and from UBCM members, and outline additional engagement opportunities. Elected officials and staff from UBCM member local governments and First Nations are invited register in advance for the April 2 webinar.
