Publishing Date
Applications are now being accepted for UBCM’s 2023 Community Excellence Awards. The awards recognize and celebrate UBCM members that have implemented projects or programs that demonstrate excellence in meeting the purposes of local government in B.C. The application deadline is May 19, 2023.
The awards are open to all local government and First Nation UBCM members. Applicants are limited to one application per category.

- Excellence in Service Delivery – City of Coquitlam “Wildlife Attractant Reduction Through Solid Waste Compliance”
- Excellence in Asset Management – District of Oak Bay “Sustainable Infrastructure Replacement Plan”
- Excellence in Sustainability – City of Kamloops “Kamloops Makes Big-Move Investments in Climate Action”
- Excellence in Governance – Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen “Utility Acquisition Policy & Process”
- Presidents Committee Choice Award – City of Kelowna “Real-Time Flood Response Emergency Operations Centre Dashboard & Water Level Data Modernization”
Awards will be presented during UBCM’s 2023 Convention. All delegates are invited to attend the awards event.
