Eligible applicants to the 2024 FireSmart Community Funding and Supports Program with an existing FireSmart program that were directly impacted by the 2023 wildfire season may apply for up to an additional $100,000 to support incremental FireSmart activities due to increased local demand for wildfire risk reduction.
Additional grant funds can be used towards eligible education, community planning, development consideration, and residential area activities, or to create additional FireSmart positions.
The UBCM-FCM Small Communities Travel Fund provides financial support to local government elected officials from British Columbia attending Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) Board and Standing Committee meetings.
