The Build Communities Strong Fund–Community Stream is the new name for the Canada Community Building Fund and continues to be administered by UBCM in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of the 2024-2034 Administrative Agreement (Agreement).
As announced in the Federal Budget 2025, the Build Communities Strong Fund will deliver funding through three distinct streams: the Provincial and Territorial Stream; the Direct Delivery Stream; and this Community Stream. The name change came into effect in June 2026.
