Victim Services Restorative Justice

WHEREAS local governments are called on increasingly to provide funding for victim services and restorative justice programs; AND WHEREAS these programs have been proved to be more effective and less costly than the traditional justice system when applied to less serious and non-violent crimes: THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the provincial government provide sustainable ongoing funding for community based restorative justice and victim services programs and complementary service to British Columbias justice system.
