BC Electoral Boundaries Commission

WHEREAS the BC Electoral Boundaries Commission Review Committee is making recommendation to increase the number of electoral areas from 79 to 81 as well as a reduction of three seats in rural regions of the province due to population shift; AND WHEREAS the Electoral Boundaries Commission Act requires population representation or - 25: THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Union of BC Municipalities request that the British Columbia Legislature amend the Electoral Boundaries Commission Act to reflect population representation or - 50 to allow for equitable regional representation to the provincial Legislature.
