Councillor Trish Mandewo, president of the Union of B.C. Municipalities is the recipient of this year’s Pam McConnell award from the Federation of Canadian Municipalities. The award recognizes the advancement and promotion of gender equality in FCM’s programs. Mandewo led FCM study tours to Cambodia and Zambia. In her work with the Cambodian National League of Councils, Mandewo provided seminars on self-advocacy, leadership, communications and media engagement.
