UBCM and the Province will be hosting a heat preparedness webinar from 2 – 3 pm on May 23, 2023. Interested local elected officials and staff members are asked to RSVP by May 19.
Representatives from the BC Centre for Disease Control and the BC Ministry of Health will present on the following topics:
- Review of the 2021 heat dome and associated impacts;
- Provincial Heat Preparedness Initiatives (BC HARS)
- Health and Climate Resilience
The webinar is open to representatives from UBCM’s local government and First Nations members.
