A new guidebook, Outdoor Recreation for Community and Economic Development, is available to support the diverse needs and opportunities of rural and remote communities across BC.

Developed by Selkirk Innovates at Selkirk College, and shaped by the expertise of over 50 individuals from local governments, provincial agencies, First Nations, and outdoor recreation and conservation organizations, this interactive guide offers a framework to help communities plan, fund, and grow their outdoor recreation ecosystems. A webinar with the guide’s authors, Sarah Breen and Lauren Rethoret is also available.
