The Province is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from local governments and First Nations governing bodies interested in hosting FIFA World Cup 26™ free public watch parties for over 1,000 attendees.
The Province is looking to understand how communities across the province would like to mark this event in creative and meaningful ways, with particular emphasis on public programming that features live viewing of tournament matches.
Please note: the EOI is for information-gathering purposes only. It does not provide or guarantee funding. Submitting an EOI will simply confirm your community’s interest in hosting live match viewing opportunities and ensure you receive future updates, including any notices if funding becomes available.
If your community is interested in celebrating, please submit an EOI before October 15, 2025. A link to the EOI will be posted on the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, Culture and Sport Event Funding page.
A workshop on FIFA World Cup 26™ community events will be presented by the City of Vancouver, FIFA Canada and the Province at the 2025 UBCM Convention from 7:30 to 8:30 am on Tuesday, September 23.
