Resolutions for the 2020 UBCM Convention are now being received by the five Area Associations in BC. Resolutions endorsed by Area Associations are submitted automatically to UBCM for consideration in September.
UBCM’s annual resolutions process provides a forum for local governments from across the province to make requests, express concerns and develop united positions. Area Association submission deadlines for 2020 are as follows:
- AKBLG – February 1
- AVICC – February 6
- SILGA – February 28
- NCLGA – March 5
- LMLGA – March 13
Local governments are invited to contact their respective Area Association for resolution submission procedures.
Local governments that adopt a resolution subsequent to an Area Association deadline may submit it directly to UBCM. The deadline for resolutions submitted directly to UBCM is June 30, 2020.
