Local Government Program Services

The following programs and services are available through Local Government Program Services:

Age-friendly Communities
(formerly Seniors' Housing & Support Initiative)

  • Grants under the 2017 program have been awarded. Final reports are due by January 31, 2018.

Asset Management Planning Program

  • Applications are now being accepted for the 2018 Asset Management Planning program.  
  • Grants under the 2017 program have been awarded.  Final reports are due by January 31, 2018.

Community Emergency Preparedness Fund

  • All applications under the CEPF must be submitted through UBCM's Program Information Management System
  • Program & Application guides are now availble for:
    • Flood Risk Assessment, Flood Mapping & Flood Mitigation Planning. Application deadline: October 27, 2017
    • Emergency Social Services: Application deadline: November 17, 2017
    • Emergency Operations Centres & Training.  Application deadline: February 2, 2018
    • Structural Flood Mitigation.  Application deadline: April 13, 2018

Regional Community to Community Forum Program

  • Applications are now being accepted for the 2017/18 Fall C2C intake. Application deadline: October 20, 2017
  • Grants under the 2017/18 Spring and Summer C2C intakes have been awarded.

Strategic Wildfire Prevention Initiative

  • Updated program guides (March 2017) are now available for all funding streams.  A summary of changes [PDF - 252 KB] is now available.
  • Applications are currently being accepted for the 2017 SWPI program, including:
    • CWPPs & Updates
    • Fuel management prescriptions
    • Demonstration projects
    • Operational treatments and maintenance, including joint funding with the Forest Enhancement Society of BC
  • Structural Protection Units
