Province Seeks Contaminated Sites Representative

The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy is accepting expressions of interest from local government representatives to sit on the Contaminated Sites Approved Professional (CSAP) Society’s Board of Directors.

The Board has 12 members including 8 elected members representing the society’s membership and the parent professional organizations and 4 members appointed by the Ministry. The appointed members include a representative each from the ministry, local government and industry and a lay representative. The board provides technical guidance to CSAP and all board members liaise with their representative group.

The position will be for 2 years but may be extended to 4 years. Board meetings are held every second month at the CSAP offices in downtown Vancouver. The meetings are generally held on Wednesday mornings and normally last 3 hours. The initial meeting of the upcoming term is currently scheduled for late July or mid-August.
