EOC & Structural Flood Mitigation Funding

The Community Emergency Preparedness Fund now has four program streams receiving applications. In addition to the Emergency Social Services and Flood Risk Assessments, Flood Maps and Flood Mitigation Planning streams, Emergency Operations Centres (EOC) and Structural Flood Mitigation are now open.

EOC funding is intended to increase local emergency response capacity and allow for training and the purchase of EOC equipment, with funding of up to $25,000. The application deadline for EOCs is February 2, 2018. Structural Flood Mitigation funding is intended to prevent, eliminate or reduce the impacts of hazards through the construction of structural flood mitigation projects, with funding of up to $750,000. The Structural Flood Mitigation application deadline is April 13, 2018.

Program Guides and application forms for all four funding streams are available online. The Evacuation Route Planning funding stream is under development and will open for applications before the end of the year.
