				Over the years, UBCM has presented Certificates of Appreciation to a select list of local government elected officials who have served on a Council or Board for a total period of 25 years or more. In 2010, the Executive added an additional awards category recognizing local government leadership for 35+ years.<br/><br/>Nominations are now being accepted to the Long Service Awards (25 years) and Special Long Service Awards (35+ years).  Local government administrators are asked to advise UBCM of the names of any persons who they feel would qualify for this award.

				Over the first nine years of the program, the Gas Tax Fund is delivering nearly $1.6 Billion to BC communities.  As the program is set to continue to grow beyond 2014, UBCM has redeveloped our Gas Tax Fund webpages to provide more information.  Reports are now available on every project that has utilized Gas Tax funds up to 2012. We have also provided the reports in a variety of formats to make searching and comparison easier.  How important is this program to BC communities? The allocated funding stream alone has already funded over 1500 local infrastructure projects.
