Asset Management Planning & Training Funding

A further round of Asset Management Planning grants has been confirmed for 2017. A subsidy for local government staff to attend eligible training events is also available.

The intent of the Asset Management Planning program is to assist local governments in delivering sustainable services by extending and deepening asset management practices within their organizations.

Since 2015 the program has made 110 grants to 88 local governments, supporting them to take next steps on the path to better asset management practices at a scale and with the approach suitable to their own specific circumstance.

A training subsidy covering 50% of the registration fee for up to three local government staff to attend eligible Asset Management BC training events is also available. Funding permitting, one subsidy is available per local government.

A series of eligible three-day training programs on National Asset Management Systems (NAMS) for local government staff is being offered in several locations between now and November.

The Asset Management Planning Program & Application Guide and application forms for the Planning Program and the training subsidy are now available.
