Upcoming Local FireSmart Representative Workshops

Do you want to help your community be better prepared for and prevent damaging wildfires? Two more Local Fire FireSmart Representative Workshops have been announced for Prince George on April 15 & 16, and Kamloops on May 2 & 3, 2015. The workshop in Williams Lake, previously announced, is scheduled for February 24 & 25.

Workshop participants are provided with the knowledge, skills and tools to help protect their communities from wildland-urban interface fires by becoming Local FireSmart Representatives.

Local government and First Nation emergency preparedness and response staff and/or elected officials are encouraged to attend.

These two-day workshops are being held in across BC, in cooperation with Partners in Protection. A sixth and final workshop is planned for Fall 2015 in the Lower Mainland.

While there is no charge to attend, registration is required.
