The South Coast Conservation Program (SCCP) has successfully finished the first year of a pilot project for integrating species and ecosystems at risk into sustainable land use. A key outcome of the pilot project has been the production of the guidance document that is now available.

The SCCP is moving into the second phase of the project, which will focus on working with individual local governments to help address their specific species at risk related land use challenges. The SCCP will be organizing delegations to Council throughoutMay, June and July. They will be working with staff to create Council presentations on initiatives relevant to the community.
