ParcelMap BC Under Development

Demand for an easy, efficient means of accessing land title and survey information using an electronic map of surveyed parcels in BC has been growing as use of geographically-based information becomes commonplace.

The Land Title Survey Authority of British Columbia (LTSA) will develop and operate ParcelMap BC, creating a single, complete, trusted and sustainable electronic map of all titled parcels and surveyed provincial Crown land parcels in BC. The resulting framework will form a complete visual portrayal of parcels connected with information in the Land Title Register and Crown Land Registry.

In addition to the LTSA, ParcelMap BC participants include the Province of BC; the Integrated Cadastral Information Society (ICIS), representing local governments and utilities; the Association of Land Surveyors and BC Assessment Authority, the latter contributing $1.25 million to fund a grant program to partially offset costs associated with local government adoption of ParcelMap BC.  ICIS is administering the grant program.  There will be no charge for these participating stakeholders to access ParcelMap BC.
