Healthy Community Workshops

Local governments across BC are invited to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for hosting a PlanH workshop in their community. The workshops are presented by PlanH, (BC Healthy Communities Society) and LIRN-BC, and focus on enhancing the capacity of local governments to work with community partners to build healthier communities.

Workshop topics include

· From Silos to Systems: Building Partnerships for Healthy Communities

· Dialogue to Action on a Specific Healthy Communities Topic (TBD)

There are 2 streams for this year's call for Expressions of Interest: rural and Northern communities with a population of less than 25,000 and;larger communities with a population of greater than 25,000.

EOI packages for rural and Northern communities can be submitted to LIRN-BC; for larger communities EOI packages can be submitted to PlanH.

There are a limited number of workshops available. Deadline for Expressions of Interest is June 27, 2014.
