Health care in smaller communities focus of workshop

Smaller communities throughout BC are facing challenges with health care delivery and are looking for solutions. A workshop at the 2014 UBCM Convention Improving Health for Remote and Rural Communities will address innovations in health care response, including telemedicine and Rural Health Strategies. Patient transportation and BC Ambulance services will also be discussed.

Speakers at this session will include Minister Lake, Ministry of Health (tbc), CEO’s from Northern, Island and Interior Health Authorities, and a representative from BC Ambulance. The workshop will be held Monday, September 22 from 1:30 – 4:30 at the Whistler Convention Centre.

This workshop is a pre-convention session and is not covered by the delegate registration fee.   Register here.  Registration is limited to 250 participants.
