Forest Practices Board Assessing Fuel Management Projects

The Forest Practices Board, BC’s independent watchdog for sound forest and range practices in British Columbia, is investigating the progress made in reducing the threat from wildfires in urban interface areas since its last report, Managing Forest Fuels in the Wildland Urban Interface, published in 2010.

As part of its investigation, the Board will review the planning and implementation of a sample of interface fuel management activities. If your community has completed a fuel management project, or you would like to share your views with the Board, please contact Chris Oman.

See the project terms of reference on the Board’s website.
