Contaminated Sites and Local Governments

The Society of Contaminated Sites Approved Professionals of BC (CSAP) is offering a webinar on contaminated site profile systems and the role of local governments. The webinar is designed to review existing guidance and legislation in the context of pending changes to the legislation, changes that will be included in discussion papers to be issued by the Ministry of Environment this summer.

The webinar will address how local governments get involved in contaminated site issues, application documents associated with contaminated sites, and municipal processing of site profiles. Webinar presenters include Vince Hanemayer of Ministry of Environment and Pat Johnstone from City of Richmond. The webinar will provide information for local governments that may want to comment on the revised draft regulation documents that are tentatively forthcoming this summer.

The webinar will take place June 12th, 2014 from 10 to 11:30 am PST.

Registration to the webinar is now open.
