Announcement: 2014 LGLA Leadership Forum

The Local Government Leadership Academy's 2014 Leadership Forum will be held February 5-7 at the Radisson Hotel in Richmond. Our theme is Through the Looking Glass: Reflections on Leadership and we offer a unique opportunity for elected officials and senior staff to reflect on the current term of office and look ahead to the future.

Since our first forum in 2007, the LGLA's annual conference has been well received by elected officials and senior administrators from BC local governments and First Nations communities. All those with an interest in leadership at the local level will benefit from attendance, including those working towards an LGLA Certificate. For more information, visit the LGLA website. Delegates will experience a full program guaranteed to inform and inspire. Join us for an exciting keynote, practical sessions addressing an array of current issues and concerns, interesting panel discussions, ample networking opportunities and the excellent hospitality of the Radisson Hotel in the heart of downtown Richmond.

Accommodation can be booked at the Radisson here. A special rate of $99/night is available when you request the UBCM/LGLA Group Rate. Forum registration will be available soon through the CivicInfo Society.

A preliminary agenda and program outline is now available. Stay tuned for detailed 2014 Forum agenda, program, and registration information in the Compass and on the LGLA website.
