UBCM is seeking a Coordinator, Events and Sponsorship. This full-time position provides senior administration and coordination services to support UBCM events including our annual convention as well as other workshops and meetings. You will act as the primary liaison between staff and our convention contractor, tradeshow coordinator, Convention Committee, and hotel and conference centre staff; and coordinate and oversee our sponsorship program, a key revenue generator for our annual convention.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the incumbent will possess a diploma or degree is business administration or other relevant discipline; have at least five years of relevant experience coordinating large conventions or events; be well organized; able to manage multiple priorities and consistently produce results within set timelines. Candidates must also possess excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and clients. Experience working in the public sector with local or provincial government would be an asset.
